I salt/peppered and alittle garlic powder on the chops before baking and mixed the oinions potatoes and cheese up in a bowl then put in pan covered with milk and butter and chops. I took other reviewers' advice and cut the potatoes very thin and then microwaved them for 10 mins. It was lacking all around to say the very least. My husband said it smelled really good and chops were tender, but there was nothing special about the recipe, and he wouldn't care for it again. On the other hand, this recipe doesn't require any sauces, so the preparation time is reduced a bit. Also, chops should be browned in frying pan before placing in slow cooker, otherwise, they look awfully anemic when done. Back to Scalloped Potatoes and Pork Chops. I've yet to make it with pork chops but yours look fabulously delicious. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until potatoes are tender. I took another persons advice & mixed the potatoes cheese & onions in a bowl put them on the bottom poured milk over top and put pats of butter in as well. Most people won't think twice about serving basic cornbread when is on the table. The biggest task is preparing the potatoes. This is my favorite recipe and has been since childhood.
